EUDR REGULATION

We will help you meet the EUDR requirements on time and correctly.

Companies importing products into the EU must ensure that their supply chain complies with the requirements of the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). We will help you map the origin of raw materials and ensure compliance with this regulation.

Why we have to address this?

EUDR

Why does the European Deforestation Regulation make sense?

Deforestation, forest degradation, and biodiversity loss are among the most serious environmental issues of today.

Why we have to address this?

Deforestation significantly impacts ecosystems and climate change.

The EU Deforestation Regulation is not a new regulation but replaces and expands the existing EUTR – Timber Regulation.

The main driver of deforestation is the expansion of agricultural land, linked to the production of the commodities below and some of their derived products, such as: leather, chocolate, tires, or furniture.

Rubber

Cocoa

Cattle

EUDR Regulation

What is the current status of the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)?

The European Union has approved a further postponement. The EUDR Regulation will now apply to most companies from 30 December 2026, and from 30 June 2027 for micro and small enterprises. At the same time, a review of this legislation should take place by 30 April 2026.

Which parties are covered by due diligence?

How to ensure supply chain due diligence?

Due diligence applies to economic operators, that is companies placing products on the EU market or exporting certain commodities and relevant products, and also on traders, who within the supply chain, deliver products containing these commodities to the EU market.

Information gathering includes obtaining data about the product, its quantity, the supply chain, the country of origin, and the geolocation of manufacturing sites.

Risk assessment

Assessment of the risks of deforestation or forest degradation, including potential violations of the rights of local communities, and the credibility of available documentation.

Risk mitigation

Implementation of a management system and measures to eliminate or reduce identified risks, for example by supplementing information, conducting audits, and evaluating suppliers.
